A sophomore album to end all sophomore albums. Around the Fur is a relentless torrent of bombastic beats and dreamy vocals that’ll make you want to cruise with the windows down all summer long.
A side to B side this album is one of my desert island albums. Tone setting for the band after Pablo Honey being more radio conventional. A great introduction for anyone who’s never listened to Radiohead beyond slowed-down covers of Creep for Netflix trailers.
This is the quintessential Grunge sampler tied to the quintessential Grunge movie. It introduced fundamental Pacific Northwest bands to the rest of the world. And they just re-recorded it!
Undoubtedly the best album from Foo— The Colour and the Shape was revolutionary in its dynamism and wholly solidified this post-grunge era band as the rock powerhouse they would become today.
A fantastic debut album from one of the greatest progressive metal bands of all time. Undertow is altogether brilliant in its simultaneous emotional onslaught of intricate melodies and verbose navigations of the human experience.

Love it or Hate it it is one of the best getting over a shitty ex albums of all time and this one happens to be about Uncle Joey from Full house.

Everyone knows this album for “Gin and Juice” but this album is so much more than that. Snoop Dogg goes 0-100 from the get go and doesn’t let up. It’s a great listen from start to finish.

This album was the evolution of hip hop. A raw album filled with some of the best MCs to touch a mic. The beats are drilled into my head with their lo-fi boom bap cadence. The kung fu soundbites are part of my psyche. This is an album that is cemented into my brain and can never escape.

Sure, they were on the Clueless Soundtrack, but that was just a taste. “Born to Quit” is a toe tapping pop punk masterpiece from this suburban Chicago quartet. Recently re-recorded and re-released.

Gwen Stefani and her band at their best!! She arrived ready to impress- this album is nonstop fun. It was also so empowering to watch this badass lady fronting a band!

An Irish-Rock fever dream of an album. Notable singles Dreams and Linger are definitely strong tracks on this one but give it an A to B listen for ultimate vibes. Dolores O’Riordan’s voice is incredible and the obvious inspirations of The Smiths, The Cure and Cocteau twins shine through in the moody shadow-dream pop.
