The Japanese version of the original soundtrack for "Star Wars: A New Hope" will be released in limited quantities! This is the original soundtrack to the first Star Wars film (Episode IV: A New Hope), directed by George Lucas and released in the US in 1977 (released in Japan in 1978). Composer John Williams won an Academy Award for Best Original Score for this film. He created many of the theme songs that shaped the Star Wars saga, including "Star Wars Theme," "Imperial Attack," and "Princess Leia's Theme." "Bar Band" also comes from this film. The soundtrack is based on the 1977 soundtrack, remastered by Shawn Murphy and Skywalker Sound and released in 2018 using the 192kHz/24-bit master.
