Dance Party Album

Proto jackin’ hip-house/punk-funk from the third coast. Originally issued in 1984 on Chicago’s scene-defining Mitchbal label, Z-Factor’s Dance Party Album is where boyhood friends Jesse Saunders and Vince Lawrence reinvented the 909 for the Warehouse, WBMX, and beyond. Come for the spaced-out, lo-fi Italo synths, stay for the micro-bud-get four-on-the-floor drum machine rattles.
