Of all the adventurous things the rock band known as Ween has done over their career, recording a straight-up country album with legendary Nashville session musicians was probably the most surprising. There was that great moment in the '60s when everybody went to Nashville to record, whether it was Bob Dylan, or Leonard Cohen, etc. 12 Golden Country Greats is one of those records.
