Willy and the Poor Boys (VMP - E148)
In 1969, Creedence Clearwater Revival were on top of the world, the solar system, the Milky Way galaxy. In October of that year, the band released their third full-length album in 12 months, an LP that would feature a song that would ensure they’d live on forever: Willy And The Poor Boys. Featuring the slamming ‘’Down On The Corner'' and the eternally iconic ‘’Fortunate Son,'' the album is a clear snapshot of a band at their peak. Within another 12 months the band would be down to a trio, and within 24 they’d be completely broken up. Creedence burned bright and quick, but their flame is still visible, thanks to records like this.
